USU garden in Tuzla

In 2018 a collaboration started with a group living in Bosnia that help people to move out from large institutions and integrate into society. An accommodation where people get to learn how to work in a home and understand their human rights. The accommodation has a farmyard where people can work and learn to grow and manage crops. The group accommodation is self-sufficient.

The Loza Foundation invests in the heating and the hot water at USU garden and we also help with the completing of the upper floor renovation. This gives even more people the chance to get out of larger institutions and to move into the group accommodation in Tuzla. The Tuzla accommodation can also be seen as a model in how people with functional variations can live in society, just like anyone else.
